The calculations are estimates

Both calculators produce estimates derived from figures you supply and from stated assumptions. They cannot know whether your inputs are correct, whether your bike matches the preset you selected, or whether a part will physically fit. A result on this site is a starting point for a decision, not the decision.

Verify physically before purchase and before installation. Measure, trial fit, and check clearance on the actual machine. In particular, fit the chain, set the axle, and confirm free play at the tightest point of wheel travel before you ride.
